Andrea Weiss Jeffries has been named to the Daily Journal’s 2012 list of “Top 100 Women Lawyers,” which recognizes the achievements of women leading the legal community in California. Jeffries is a partner in WilmerHale’s Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Group, where her practice focuses on patent litigation involving diverse technologies.
The Daily Journal recognized Jeffries for her leading role in securing a victory for client Broadcom Corp. in a jury case against Emulex Corp. The case involved six patents covering three different technologies used in high-speed communication products. Following a three-week trial, Jeffries obtained favorable decisions on two of the patent families; a third is slated to be retried next year.
Earlier this year, Jeffries was selected as one of the “Most Powerful and Influential Women” of California by the National Diversity Council, and named a “Future Star” in the 2012 edition of Benchmark Litigation.
