Hale and Dorr is pleased to announce that Wendell Taylor, a junior partner in the Boston office, was selected as one of 40 outstanding business and professional leaders by the Boston Business Journal’s Fourth Annual "40 Under 40." The honor recognizes individuals who are making their mark in the Greater Boston business community.
"Wendell is a recognized star at Hale and Dorr in the areas of corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, with a particular focus on biotechnology and global technology issues," said William F. Lee, managing partner, Hale and Dorr LLP. "Beyond the legal community, Wendell reaches out to at-risk youth in the Boston community and provides them with access to educational activities and community service programs. He is a unique individual of the highest character and integrity."
At Hale and Dorr, Mr. Taylor is a member of the firm’s Hiring Committee and the co-chairman of the firm’s Diversity Committee. As a civic leader, Mr. Taylor’s activities include: Africana.com, Inc., advisory board member; Charlestown Lacrosse, Inc., coach and board of directors member; MetroLacrosse, Inc., board of directors member; The Partnership, Inc., member, alumnae of the Boston Fellows Program, and participant in the Boston Scholars Program; Boston Lawyers Group, member and co-chairman of the Associates Advisory Committee.
Mr. Taylor is also the co-owner of the award-winning Grapeseed American Bistro and Wine Bar, located in Bethesda, MD.
Nominations were open to local business and civic leaders who have achieved a solid measure of success in a variety of professional, business and non-profit organizations. Nominees had to be less than 40 years old as of November 2, 2001. Mr. Taylor is 34 years old.
