Partners Gary Born and Dr. Mary Rose Scozzafava have been named exclusive recipients of the 2014 Client Choice Awards from International Law Office (ILO) in the areas of Arbitration in the UK and Intellectual Property/Patents in Massachusetts.
Since 2005, the Client Choice awards have recognized those law firms and partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client service they provide. The criteria for the awards focus on the ability to add real value to clients' business above and beyond other players in the market. Uniquely, these awards survey senior corporate counsel only, with this year's winners chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 individual client assessments.
London-based Born, chair of the firm's world-ranked International Arbitration Group, is ILO's exclusive winner of the Client Choice award for Arbitration in the UK. Born has participated in more than 550 international arbitrations, including four of the largest ICC arbitrations and several of the most significant ad hoc arbitrations in recent history. He is continuously recognized as one of the world's leading international arbitration practitioners. Born was also the winner of the Client Choice Award in 2012.
Scozzafava is a Boston-based member of the firm's Intellectual Property Department, whose practice focuses on helping clients identify and protect their intellectual property with an emphasis on strategically building their patent portfolios and intellectual property litigation. She is the exclusive winner of the Intellectual Property - Patents category for Massachusetts.
Winners will be honored at a gala dinner and networking event held at One Great George Street in London on May 7, 2014. To learn more about the awards visit the Client Choice site.
