The Passing of Partner Justin Ochs

The Passing of Partner Justin Ochs

Firm News

Ochs_JustinIt is with profound sadness that we inform you of the sudden and tragic passing of our partner Justin Ochs. Justin joined WilmerHale’s Washington DC office in 2001 and was a beloved member of our firm and community for more than two decades.

Justin was widely regarded for his impeccable judgment, integrity, collegiality, and sense of humor. He was absolutely integral to the life of the firm. In addition to serving as Chair of the firm’s Corporate Practice, Justin served on numerous committees—including, most recently, the Management Committee.

Justin was genuinely interested in the lives and careers of the lawyers and business professionals with whom he worked and always gave generously of his own time and expertise. We will remember Justin as an incredibly talented lawyer and as a singular mentor, colleague, and leader. More importantly, we will remember him as a loving father, husband, son, brother, and as our dear friend.

Justin is survived by his beloved wife, Darcy, and his two daughters, who were the pride of his life.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on August 8, 2024 at St. Alban’s Parish in Washington DC.

Justin’s obituary can be viewed here.
