Vinita Ferrera Honored as a Woman Worth Watching in STEM by Diversity Journal

Recognition

Diversity Journal has recognized Partner Vinita Ferrera as a 2024 Woman Worth Watching in STEM, which recognizes high-achieving women who are blazing trails for other women in their organizations and across the globe—and for girls everywhere who want to build successful and satisfying careers in science, technology, engineering or math, according to the publication.

Profiles in Diversity Journal is a quarterly magazine that spotlights, promotes and supports individuals in underrepresented groups for their contributions to their respective fields. In this issue, Diversity Journal profiled 23 people as part of the publications 6th year celebrating Women Worth Watching in STEM.

Vinita Ferrera focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, trade dress and trade secret litigation, and has litigated cases involving a variety of technologies and industries. Her practice has encompassed all facets of litigation, before federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies including the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Outside of the courtroom, Ferrera is a member of the Board of the Lawyers for Civil Rights.

“We should be developing and supporting initiatives to increase interest in and comfort with STEM among underrepresented populations at the elementary, middle and high school levels,” says Ferrera in her profile. “I would love to see companies and other organizations partnering with schools and other community groups to create such opportunities.”
