WilmerHale Named to Bloomberg Law’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Framework

Recognition

Bloomberg Law has named WilmerHale to its fourth annual Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Framework in recognition of the firm’s strong commitment to advancing inclusivity. WilmerHale is one of 57 law firms to be recognized based on a series of diversity-related benchmarks, including leadership and talent pipeline, recruitment and retention, business innovation and strategy, bias and harassment training and a diverse brand.

According to Bloomberg Law, the framework is “a listing of law firms that meet or exceed a rising standard for diversity, equity and inclusion in their firm.” Following an extensive quantitative review of the firms’ diversity-related data, the organization found that:

  • 95% of firms have a public statement regarding their commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • 57% of firms tie a component of partner compensation to diversity efforts.
  • 72% of firms require diversity within a pool of candidates for management and leadership roles.
  • 65% of firms mandate and monitor that minority and women attorneys have equal access to client, quality work assignments, commute appointments, marketing efforts, and firm events.
  • 41% of firms say that Practice Group leaders have clear diversity and inclusion goals included as part of their annual performance review.

WilmerHale’s culture both encourages and offers opportunities for diverse groups to thrive at every stage of their career. The firm is committed to maintaining an environment that fosters and benefits from diversity, equity and inclusion at all levels.
