Law360 has recognized Michelle Diamond among the nation’s top legal practitioners under the age of 40. Diamond, a New York-based partner, was named to the publication’s exclusive list of 2023 Rising Stars, which honors those “whose legal accomplishments belie their age.”
Diamond’s practice focuses on several of today’s most pressing issues—diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI); the constantly changing regulatory and legal landscape around cannabis and psychedelics; and reproductive rights post the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs. Since joining WilmerHale in 2015, she has established herself as one of the go-to attorneys for companies grappling with DEI and workplace culture issues, and she regularly counsels some of world’s largest and best-know companies on the subject. In a profile accompanying the recognition, Law360 notes that Diamond has been sought-out by Google, Pinterest and the New York Mets to help “implement systems and make changes that fundamentally alter their workplace cultures.”
In addition to delving into her work as an experienced compliance lawyer, Diamond’s profile highlights her extensive pro bono practice surrounding reproductive rights. Following the landmark ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, Diamond has been at the forefront of successful charges to restore abortion access in Ohio and Montana. Commenting on her pro bono work, Diamond said, “It's incredibly meaningful to be able to do this type of work, and I'm really proud of it."
