WilmerHale Honored with The National Law Journal’s Crisis Management & Government Oversight Award

Recognition

The National Law Journal (NLJ) has honored WilmerHale with the 2022 Crisis Management and Government Oversight Professional Excellence Award. The prestigious honor is awarded to the firm that has guided clients through complex, high-stakes government proceedings, including responding to federal investigations or enforcement actions launched by government agencies and preparing clients to provide testimony before congress. According to the publication, the award recipient must have “proven successful implementation of innovative approaches to litigation and legal advisory work” in addition to consistently delivering outstanding results.

With a lengthy track record of successfully navigating clients through challenges ranging from disaster response to congressional investigations, the firm is uniquely positioned to address any legal, reputational, political and collateral implications that may arise. In a Q&A with NLJ, Partners Alyssa DaCunha and Joel Green, co-chairs of the Congressional Investigations practice, share, “As one of the firms with the earliest formation of a specialized congressional investigations group—separate from a government investigations practice—we developed the playbook for helping clients navigate Washington and implement holistic strategies for responding to multiforum crises. Our bipartisan team has deep ties to both sides of the aisle, and we pair this experience with cross-industry regulatory counseling expertise. This combination of expertise and experience, along with our global strategy perspective, sets us apart from newer entrants to this field.”

The firm’s holistic approach to investigations and crisis management is among the many things that have cemented its standing among the top Crisis Management & Government Oversight practices in the nation.
