Zachary Goldman Named a Law360 Rising Star

Recognition

Law360 named Zachary Goldman, a New York-based partner, to its annual list of Rising Stars. The list recognizes the top 176 attorneys under the age of 40 whose legal accomplishments have already distinguished them from their peers. Goldman is one of four WilmerHale attorneys to be named to the list in 2022.

The Law360 profile highlights Goldman as one of the foremost attorneys in the fintech area for his work helping cryptocurrency companies secure regulatory approval to issue new types of assets and guiding clients on how to navigate the shifting world of financial technology. Goldman credits his first job out of law school at the US Department of the Treasury's Office of Terrorist Financing and Financial Crime with piquing his interest in illicit finance issues and "setting the tone" for the rest of his career. Goldman’s move into private practice coincided with an explosion of legal matters at the intersection of emerging technologies and finance — in particular the rise of crypto.

"I'm working with dozens of clients at any given time," he said in his profile, "and they're working on incredibly interesting cutting-edge applications of technology in the financial services space. And so working with them all is like a real pleasure and honor."
