Seramount has named WilmerHale to its list of “Best Law Firms for Women,” marking the 15th consecutive year that the firm has been recognized for its commitment to fostering women lawyers. WilmerHale is one of only two firms that have earned a spot on the annual list every year since its inception in 2007.
Seramount, a subset of EAB, is a research firm dedicated to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. Its 2022 Best Law Firms for Women survey included more than 300 questions on topics ranging from attorney demographics to family-friendly benefits, paid time off and parental leaves, mentoring and sponsorship opportunities and the firm’s development and retention of women. The in-depth survey is used to create a list of the top 50 law firms that utilize best practices in recruiting, retaining, promoting and developing women lawyers.
The list highlights law firms that averaged 43 percent women among managing partners and that offered better benefits across the board—including hybrid workplaces and an average of 16 weeks of fully paid gender-neutral parental leave.
WilmerHale’s leaders, including Co-Managing Partner Susan Murley, have created a culture that both encourages and offers opportunities for women to thrive at every stage of their career. The firm is committed to maintaining an environment that fosters and benefits from diversity, equity and inclusion at all levels.
