Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (MLW) has named Joe Conahan to its annual list of Go To Business Lawyers, which recognizes leaders in the Massachusetts legal community.
According to MLW, Conahan has established himself as a “leading dealmaker with a high-volume practice.” As co-chair of WilmerHale’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice, he focuses on the representation of buyers, sellers and boards of directors in complex strategic transactions. Conahan’s profile notes his work with leading early-stage companies and global public corporations in the life sciences, technology and financial services sectors. The profile highlights his recent involvement in the high-profile representation of Eaton Vance, one of the oldest investment companies in the United States, in its $7 billion sale to Morgan Stanley.
In addition to maintaining a robust M&A practice, Conahan is an active member of the legal community at large. He has served as co-chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Mergers & Acquisitions Committee and represents organizations like Boston Children’s Chorus on a pro bono basis.
