Three WilmerHale lawyers have been selected to participate in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s (LCLD) 2020 Fellows and Pathfinders programs. Partner Tiffany Smith has been chosen as a member of the 2020 class of LCLD Fellows, a program that advances the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. Senior Associates DeAnna Evans and Jennifer John will join the 2020 class of the LCLD Pathfinder Program, which provides diverse, high-potential, early-career attorneys with practical tools for developing and leveraging professional networks.
“We congratulate Tiffany, DeAnna and Jennifer on being selected as WilmerHale’s first LCLD Fellow and Pathfinder participants,” says WilmerHale Diversity and Inclusion Director Tracey West. “We look forward to a broader participation in the LCLD and the opportunities it provides our lawyers.”
Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 300 law firm managing partners and corporate chief legal officers that actively promotes diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. The organization offers a range of programs that address sustained diversity at all levels of legal practice—from pipeline initiatives and programs for early-career attorneys, like the Pathfinder Program that Ms. Evans and Ms. John will join, to programs for lawyers in leadership positions, like the LCLD Fellows group that Ms. Smith will join.
Since it launched in 2011, LCLD Fellows has trained more than 1,600 mid-career attorneys and has grown to include a robust alumni program. The LCLD Pathfinder Program began in 2015 and has grown into an impactful initiative targeting junior attorneys and the youngest members of corporate law departments.
