On November 6, 2019, it was announced that Rembert Pendleton Jackson (RPJ), an investment and financial advisory firm, has entered into a definitive agreement with Sandy Spring Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ:SASR), the parent company of Sandy Spring Bank, for Sandy Spring Bank to acquire RPJ. Upon completion of the transaction, which is expected in the first quarter of 2020, the combined assets under management under Sandy Spring Banks’s wealth management arms will be approximately $4.5 billion.
