Partner Keith Trammell was named the 2018 “Lawyer of the Year” for corporate and M&A issues by the influential legal publication Law Week Colorado. The publication selected Mr. Trammell in large part because he led both the firm’s representation of Regal Entertainment Group in its nearly $6 billion merger with Cineworld, and its representation of Vail Resorts in a series of ski resort acquisitions by the company in Colorado, New Hampshire, Vermont and Washington.
In recognizing Mr. Trammell, Law Week Colorado noted that he “played a key role in a merger to create the world’s second-largest movie theater chain as well as a series of deals [for] Vail Resorts.” Law Week Colorado also noted that, to round out his first year at WilmerHale, Mr. Trammell deepened the private equity practice at the firm, serving as co-counsel to the Nordstrom family as they sought to take the famed department store company private, and representing Denver–based Mountaingate Capital, a leading private equity fund, in their platform company transactions in the digital marketing industry.
Ken Salazar, founding partner of the Denver office, said, “Since first opening WilmerHale’s Denver office, our focus has been to build it around partners who are market leaders in their respective practices. We are thrilled with the success of our corporate practice and this recognition for Keith, and we’re proud of the exceptional team of corporate lawyers working with us here in Denver.”
Mr. Trammell joined WilmerHale in 2017, establishing a corporate practice in the firm’s Denver Office. In his practice, Mr. Trammell counsels public companies, private equity funds and privately held companies on capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. He also helps clients navigate through negotiated purchase and sales, unsolicited and hostile acquisition proposals, equity and debt securities offerings, leveraged buyouts, corporate restructurings and corporate governance matters.
