WilmerHale Special Counsel Adam Raviv, a member of the firm's Government & Regulatory Litigation and International Arbitration Groups, is one of 60 newly elected members of the American Law Institute (ALI). ALI is a leading independent organization dedicated to scholarly work to clarify, modernize and improve the law. Members draft, discuss, revise and publish Restatements of the Law, Model Codes and Principles of Law that influence the courts and legislatures and legal scholarship and education. Elected members consist of distinguished judges, lawyers and law professors from across the country.

Raviv's practice focuses on international arbitrations, appellate and complex commercial litigation, and government and regulatory counseling and litigation. He has experience with international commercial disputes, government ethics laws and regulations, class actions, securities investigations, copyright litigation, antitrust law, election law, immigration law, multidistrict litigation, First Amendment law, and veterans' benefits, and has an active pro bono practice. 

Raviv is a lecturer in law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and he has authored many pieces that have appeared in the Harvard Law Review, Harvard International Law Journal, University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law, George Mason Law Review, George Washington International Law Review, Corporate Counsel, Arbitration International, Global Arbitration Review, Transnational Dispute Management, Yearbook on Arbitration and Mediation, and Critical Review of International Social and Political Philosophy. 

Raviv is a winner of the American Society of International Law's Private International Law Prize and his article "Unsafe Harbors: Partisan Redistricting and One Person, One Vote" was cited in a Supreme Court opinion in League of United Latin American Citizens v. Perry (2006).
