The American Bar Foundation (ABF), a nonprofit research institute committed to advancing the understanding and improvement of law, has named Jamie Gorelick as its 2020 Outstanding Service Award honoree. This recognition is reserved for Fellows who have adhered for more than 30 years to the highest principles and traditions of the legal profession and to the service of the public.
The profile from the ABF notes Ms. Gorelick’s years of experience in the government sector, including her role as one of the longest serving Deputy Attorneys General of the United States, the second highest position in the Department of Justice. Ms. Gorelick’s profile also highlights her recent recognition by the American Lawyer as a “Lifetime Achiever,” amongst many others, and her dedication to serving on a number of nonprofit boards throughout her career.
