Lauren Moore to Teach University of California Seminar on Executive Orders, White House and Senate Lawyering

Speaking Engagement

In February, Partner Lauren Moore will teach a seminar at the University of California on civil rights executive orders and government practice in the White House and the U.S. Senate. The seminar will be available to law students throughout the University of California system, including Berkeley, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Irvine.

Moore’s seminar will focus on President Biden’s “Day One” equity executive orders, as well as legacy civil rights executive orders. She will also discuss various aspects of government practice, including executive order implementation, the Senate confirmation process, and oversight hearings. Moore’s seminar will draw on her experience in the White House Counsel’s Office, where she advised on President Biden’s initial executive orders and first 100-day policy agenda, and her role as General Counsel to then-Senator Kamala D. Harris on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
