The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (“the Act”) coming into effect on June 21, 2022 has the potential to further disrupt the flow of imports from China to the United States. Under the Act, government officials will begin to apply a “rebuttable presumption” that certain products from China are produced with forced labor, and therefore should not be allowed into the United States.
Please join us for a webinar presented by members of our International Trade, Investment and Market Access practice who will be providing an update on the implementation of the Act, what businesses can expect and what businesses need to do now to ensure they are in compliance.
This program will feature WilmerHale Partners Jeff Kessler and Brent Gurney and WilmerHale Associate Alex Maurer.
Topics include:
- What the Act covers
- Current status of implementation
- How companies should prepare
- Competitive implications
During the webinar, participants will have the opportunity to contribute questions online. CLE credit will be provided.
*CLE credit is not available for those who watch a recording of the webinar.
