Many international construction contracts include provisions establishing a standing Dispute Board or other similar body to resolve disputes that arise during the course of the contract. This program will look at the use of Dispute Boards and other similar mechanisms in construction contracts in Latin America and beyond. Among other things, it will consider the benefits and challenges from the perspective of various stakeholders, including owners, contractors, and the international development banks involved in funding mid-to-large scale infrastructure projects.
