William J. Wilkins Chosen for IRS Chief Counsel
Wilkins is a member of WilmerHale’s Tax Practice Group, where he advises clients on tax and business matters, including tax compliance, exempt organization issues, corporate and partnership transactions, investment structures and federal tax legislation and regulation.

Prior to joining WilmerHale in 1988, Wilkins served in various positions on the United States Senate Committee on Finance, including Staff Director and Chief Counsel of the Committee staff.
Wilkins received his BA magna cum laude from Yale University and his JD cum laude from Harvard Law School.
